Introducing: My World of Idioms

Introducing: My World of Idioms

Introducing ‘My World Of Idioms’ – a great resource to weave into creative writing. Idioms are often underused, but when used appropriately, they can add depths and flavors to any forms of writing. The basic rule of the thumb to improve one’s composition writing, is to read. That is it. Very simple, but yet tough for many, which is why I love to use visuals and colours to engage and motivate my students. They see, they read, they recall, they apply. Happy ending.

Hence, I will be sharing periodically on the different types of descriptive phrases. Please do save and share these easy to read materials with your child/ren. With the preparation for year end examination, these materials come in handy.

Watch out for more sharing!

2019 sbc prelim topics discussion

We are going straight to the point. We have created a quick PDF on the previous year’s SBC topics. We believe this is relevant to preparing our students for the PSLE oral, as well as ideas for composition topics.

A quick recap. You will be seeing P.E.G on our notes. What does this mean?

P stands for PREDICTION. Predict what your examiners will ask you. Pre-empt as many questions as possible and stay prepared.

EENGAGE with your examiners throughout. Maintain eye contact with them and show enthusiasm.

GGIVE personal recount as much as possible. It is always good to share personal experiences and give your own point of view. That gets you an advantage and sets you apart from the rest.

Feel free to save and download a copy to revise with your children as well!
