Lessons Without Walls

Trip To KKH Again

Spent the last 4 hours with a wheezing patient. Although a mother of 2, I’m still lost in the world of childhood ailments. Each bout of sickness seems to open a different can of worms. Especially this episode. From a harmless vaccine jab to a flu which caused hives, to a cough which escalated into wheezing. Went to kkh twice in 2 weeks. The initial prognosis wasn’t optimistic, we were warned our boy had to be hospitalised as his x ray showed dark spots (mucus). He was given a dose of neubilizer and 14 puffs of the inhaler (check out his expression). Thanked God my boy was given the green light. I took this chance to get Kai to pray and he did. He was scared to hear his brother had to be hospitalised and he quickly prayed. Jesus hears our prayers and we are thankful. I wasn’t keen in spending the night in a hospital too. All well ends well!
