It’s the holidays! Although it is just for a week, I made plans to do something special for my boys.
Another experiential learning, still teaching writing skills, but in another form.
Gave them a piece of blank paper and got them to decorate an invitation card, write an invitation and list down the procedures.
They were too cute. I poured out some beads out for them to choose and paste, they ended up pasting all of the beads! What a heavyweight invitation card!
Went through procedural steps with them, and wrote down what they recounted.
Final product! I love to use experiential writing as it makes the lesson alive. They get to do a hands on, and get to incorporate writing skills weaved into a lesson.
