Using news articles, we got our students to work on their Compre OE skills. We gave them a role play –Â to be setters and set questions and answers for one another to try. We gave them 3 questions –Â one direct question, one inferential question and one true/false question. After which, they mixed around to help one another edit their grammar. The final round goes back to us, and we checked if they had done their tasks accurately. Not bad, we would say, still raw in terms of setting questions, but they did their best!
