For the last lesson topic for our P6, we explored how oil spills affect the lives of living things, in particular, birds. Our P6s took turns to touch a clean feather, poured oil into the basin to demonstrate an oil spill, dipped the feather into the oil, and washed the oil off the feather. Are you able to predict if the feather is able to retain to its original state?
After which, they were to record their observations and reflect upon the activity. The discussions came fast and furious, and we helped our students link the disastrous effects of oil spills. Great lesson take off for our students.
