We actually wanted to get a clearer gas drink for the experiment, but could not manage to find one on time, so we settled for the darker one. Before we proceeded, we got our girls to recap what happened when digestion begins in the mouth.

After their explanation of the digestion process, we proceeded to carry out the experiment. We ensured they were clear on the aims and objectives before the hands on.
After the experiment, we drew a procedural summary of what was done and linked the concepts they had learnt.

This leads to better understanding of getting them to THINK & LINK what they have learnt to what they have done, which they recorded in their Scrapbook.

We taped the experiment on the board for later observation and got our girls to make a final observation before class ended.
