Managed to squeeze 2 experiments for my p4s. After explaining what I wanted to see in their work, we moved on quickly. First experiment was on investigating how heat travelled through different temperatures and the best way is to ‘Show & Tell’. Lovely swirls by observing how the green colouring moves in the different water… Continue reading 2018 – Heat & Temperature (p4 Science)

2018 – Cells Reboot (p6 Science)
My p6 girls saw my p5 girls doing beads and they wanted to do too! My pleasure to accommodate their requests as it’s still work done in another way. I quickly gave my instructions and they delved right in. For them, I gave them a tighter time limit and wanted them to list down the… Continue reading 2018 – Cells Reboot (p6 Science)
2018 – Science Q&A Study Notes
Finally, it’s out! I always challenge my students to go beyond their comfort zones and achieve their own breakthroughs. I need to lead by example, I guess, and push myself I did. The inertia is not easy initially (pardon the pun). It took me really a long time to complete. One down, a few more… Continue reading 2018 – Science Q&A Study Notes
2018 – Cells (p5 Science)
It was a beady day for my girls. Same usage of my craft materials, but different uses to bring lessons across. For this lesson, I challenged the girls to do a plant cell and an animal cell, using beads. Girls and boys are really unique in their own rights. Girls squeal in delight while boys… Continue reading 2018 – Cells (p5 Science)
2018 – Kaleidoscope (p6 Science)
The boys pumped their fists in the air when they heard there was no need to do any practice papers. Boys will be boys, but I love the energy in them. They cheered further on when they saw what they were going to do. I do miss the times when I was teaching in a… Continue reading 2018 – Kaleidoscope (p6 Science)
2018 – Ice Cream & Doggy (k2 English)
Got both my girls to complete an activity that I had prepared earlier. They went straight to work and were very serious to complete their job. After their artwork, we worked on their sentences writing. It was more of a Q&A style as they had so much to share that I had to keep to… Continue reading 2018 – Ice Cream & Doggy (k2 English)
2018 – PSLE Oral Skills (p6 English)
Taking a break from the sa1, we turned our focus on preparing for PSLE oral, the newspapers way. Got them to source suitable articles from the papers, do the w+h and present their work. After the presentation, there will be a Q&A section where they were challenged to think on their feet. Not bad!
2018 – Beach & Zoo Outing (Lower Primary English)
No… not the physical places. It was a virtual experience. Did something different with my class again. Got them to watch short video clips and pointed them to watch out for sights, sounds, colours, emotions to write out later. Printed out for them to observe and orally tell me what they see and I helped… Continue reading 2018 – Beach & Zoo Outing (Lower Primary English)
2018 – Science Q&A Study Notes
Target group: Upper Block Science Level This is one of my Science materials, a project I wanted to do for my own students, after seeing the struggle for them to do well in the open-ended section, through the different batches each year. I give credit to the various sources taken from print and/or media. However,… Continue reading 2018 – Science Q&A Study Notes
